Can’t find definitive answer on line-can you take bottles of booze in your luggage on DFDS ferries?

DD is on the ferry as foot passenger to Amsterdam on Tuesday and has been given several bottles of booze as presents for her bfs family. Contradicting advice online. She’s stressed enough, and this is making her even more.

It’s a customs issue. She will have to declare anything over the following:

• 1 litre of spirits, whisky for example, or 2 litres of wine or 16 litres of beer

Have just done the mini cruise myself, they didn't want you raking alcohol on board, I think as they sell it on board. She would be better to take money and buy it in the duty free on the boat and take it off in Amsterdam
