Shopping over the Coronation weekend

Just wondered if people think the city centres will be busier or quieter that weekend as I want to go shopping in Manchester.
I know there might be people watching stuff in pubs etc but I was thinking the shops might be quieter
opinions please ?

I would expect the cities to be busy given that it's a bank holiday but maybe more popular for pubs and restaurants than shopping? Not sure if that's any real help!
