Any ideas?

It's small, around 5cm long. The little metal ring holds the shells shut when down but slides up to allow them to open slightly like the world's smallest salad tongs. It opens just less than little finger width.

In the very depths of my mind, I think it might be a gadget to remove a pearl from an oyster, but that feels very niche

For eating mussels and shellfish?

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 23/04/2023 15:23

Napkin holder. You tuck it in your collar and the shells hold the napkin.

Napkin holder, which reminds me I must get one for DH for Christmas as he always gets food down his front. Will add it to my Christmas list

Yes, napkin holder

Amazing, thank you!

Far more logical than a special tool to remove pearls from oysters!
