Just need some suggestions please!

five year old birthday party in a village hall, no bouncy castles allowed - 12 kids - what sort of games wouls
be good for this?

we will do the usual pass the parcel, musical bumps, keep the balloon up, but any other suggestions with the space would be great.

thanks!

Balloons. Lots of balloons!

Inflatable light sabers.

Can you find a company to hire the little didicars? We went to a party recently and the kids as old as 9 absolutely loved riding around on these!! Could even get some mini traffic cones and make a race track sort of thing.

I always had a few tables out for colouring, a craft activity and biscuit decorating.

Also team races - egg and spoon, beanbag on head etc

Plan in some games like musical statues and sleeping lions to calm everyone down at strategic points! I would try and hire an entertainer for half an hour to be honest.

Can you borrow/hire a parachute? Parachute games are always fun!

When I did this for dd I had a table out for crafts and colouring and I also had a friend doing very basic face painting and those kids tattoos that go on with water.

Plus all the usual party games.

Keeping t it strictly to two hours!

Depends on the child and what is allowed in the hall, but we did this and hired a mini zoo person to come and do a little talk. They brought some reptiles and insects plus a couple of rabbits and Guinea pigs and things and the children got to handle the animals and learn a bit about them. My son is mad on snakes and lizards so this was his choice but it was a big hit with all the kids. I did have to turn a blind eye to whether it was the nicest thing for the animals though...

@mistermagpie that is a great idea I’ll look into it!
