I just reminded my teens (one is 19 and lives away) about the emergency alert thing tomorrow and neither knew what I was talking about!
So don't assume your kids do either. My daughter says they haven't mentioned it at school and neither watch news programs, though they both seem aware when major things happen in the world, but this seems to have passed them by.
