Can anyone recommend a reliable automatic 7 seater please?

Only have 6k budget. Lots of different opinions from people (automatic powershift gears are awful, you'll end up paying 3k to fix on a Ford S max or galaxy etc..)

Never bought a car before so am relying on other people's opinions and everything is negative.

Am feeling very stressed.

Needs to be near Manchester. Automatic. Under 6k. Under 2litre engine for insurance

Any recommendations would be gratefully recieved.

We did over 150k miles in ours, was a decent car.

We bought an imported Honda Step wagon- imported from Japan by previous owner. It’s 8 seats and a nice drive.

We had a Renault grand scenic. I loved it but DH refused to get behind the wheel of it . Was very reliable as it was FIL's before we bought it off him.

I have an 8 seater Toyota alphard. Like a Pp it was a Japanese import. It’s well worth looking at Japanese imports, they often have low mileage and are well maintained. Japanese version of Mot requires a full bells and whistles service.

Not automatic, but our lovely Zafira has done around 130k miles and is over 12 years old and has had very little work done on it since we got it 10 years ago.
I've only once had to call recovery to it, and that was the garage's fault for not reattaching the oil well correctly after doing some work. Garage is still grovelling which is quite funny.

Love my automatic Picasso. Think it's very similar to the smax, just cheaper. Couldn't tell any difference on the test done anyway. Lots of people will tell you French cars are unreliable but this is my second Citroen and both have been good!
