I just wondered if anyone had any tips for looking after LVT flooring. I have heard about not using rubber backed door mats unless they are nitrile rubber? What about cleaning etc. Are any vacuum cleaners ok? Advice seems a bit varied when I Google.

Thanks.

We have LVT in our kitchen and hallway for the past 8 years. I have a couple of mats on it, drop food and drink on it, hoover it, wash it. Still looks as good as new! I had no idea there were a list of do’s and dont’s. X

TBH I assumed that because it's sold as being so hard wearing that anything goes but apparently normal rubber can cause it to discolour, brooms without soft bristles can scratch it (even though supposedly its really hard to scratch) and only hoovers with a hard floor setting are ok. I am feeling a bit stressed about it lol, esp as it's not cheap!
