Hi all,

really need help with something. Sorry if it sounds silly. trying to plan something.

limericks

do we start each new line with a capital letter? Or small letter

for example

I went to the staffroom one day
For a nice cup of tea during play
But a troll had got in
And was making a din
Even though he had nothing to say.

or should it be small letters? Does it matter if there are no commas at the end?

Sorry a bit of a rushed post. A bit urgent.

Would he grateful for any help.

Hello

English teacher here. I'd use capital letters at the start of each line and then punctuate according to the sentence (comma, full stop, question mark etc.)

So in your example:

I went to the staffroom one day,
For a nice cup of tea during play.
But a troll had got in,
And was making a din,
Even though he had nothing to say.

:-)
