What is it about a person that forms first impressions?

I went out this week with an old school friend. We got on OK at school, but we're never close, just partner the same group iyswim.

He moved away, haven't seen him since we left school (nealy 40 years ago!) , follow each other on FB, maybe one message every 5 years 😆

Anyway recently we were in the same city at the same time for a few days and he had tickets for an event that he knew I'd been interested in way back. He invited me to go.

Honestly, he was an arse. I enjoyed the event, but he didn't stop talking and most of it was about his (aparently) extensive sex life.

However, this morning he's posted a photo of the two of us saying what a privilege it was and how clever, funny and caring I am. I've no idea how he'd know, I couldn't get a word in 😆

I mean I suspect slimy/charming is all part of his make up, but I've never seen him post this kind of thing before, so how/why did he form this opinion?

If he's a bit of an arse and was just talking about himself - that might have been a bit of love bombing you got there. Luring you in!

He thinks you're fab because you listened to him.
