Interested to know everyone’s perception on this. I have a friend who like many others posts on Instagram, and obviously each to their own I’m not finding fault at all. But all of her life history illnesses is on there. Every room in her home all photos names of children All the family and the households occupations, every part of their house is pictured. Absolutely stunning! Even the name of the road. I can’t help thinking how dangerous this could be. Do people that post so much information about their lives not actually give a thought to what they are putting out there for the world to see! Is the look at what I own and what we have achieved more important than the safety aspect!

Stop following then

no need to ask here. You’re a grown up

ExtremelyDetermined · 22/04/2023 12:12

Its up to her, chances are nothing bad will happen as a result of any of it.

SunshineGeorgie · 22/04/2023 12:16

Shown it.... still your choice to look or not. You must have had a good old scroll to see all of that

LakeTiticaca · 22/04/2023 12:17

A lot of folk tend to overshare personal stuff on SM. I generally ignore unless it's something quite juicy like a public falling out all posted on FaceyB 🤣

Theunamedcat · 22/04/2023 12:17

Each to there own

ComtesseDeSpair · 22/04/2023 12:18

What are the safety concerns?

ComtesseDeSpair · 22/04/2023 12:21

Perhaps I’m just not devious minded enough (disappointing) but I’m struggling to see what danger it really puts anyone in that people know what their house looks like inside, what they do for a living, and their children’s names etc. Unless they’re doing something really daft like having their online banking passcodes as DOBs etc, it’s not particularly useful information.

MyMachineAndMe · 22/04/2023 13:09

It sounds like you're hoping that others will agree and judge her for what she chooses to post. Tbh I post on Facebook posts and photos about my house, family, and job in the hopes that it's interesting to the people who know and like me.

SunshineGeorgie · 22/04/2023 13:54

Well looks like op didn't come back as we aren't judging/bitching along side her!

HappyMe6 · 22/04/2023 16:19

I’d like to see where I’m judging and bitching! I actually said each to their own and also said I’m not finding fault at all. If you read my post! The reason I’m genuinely asking is when she goes on holiday or away for few days she will post and say this online. I was concerned that since everyone can view her posts not everyone that goes online is trustworthy
there are a lot of criminals go onto social media to see what’s going on in the neighbour hood. I’d hate her or anyone to be targeted this way!

Is her account public or private.
