has anyone had much luck negotiating a new price with their broadband provider? Is it best to switch to another provider? My 18 months welcome offer is over and combined with the new price rises, is a ridiculous price at the moment

Ring them and ask for the customer retention department. Be prepared with a better offer and ask them to match it or you'll leave. They'll probably offer you something to keep you, as acquiring new customers is very expensive for them.

I'm about to do this with Sky. We'll get a price drop. We've been with them for 23 years and have TV, phones and broadband. If they say no, we just say we'll take everything elsewhere and we then get a reduced rate.

It worked a treat when we changed the eldests mobile contract.

where did you get better offers from? I’m just wondering as I’m not sure if they will match deals on uswitch or if it has to be from a competitor directly
