A late night out during exam week - madness

Teen has booked a night out midweek during exam week - utter madness but won't be swayed into not going

I've advised otherwise until the cows come home, but they are adamantly still going and won't be home until probably 12/1am I reckon, with an early 1st thing exam that morning.

I can't ground her as she's 18 so can only really advise and guide her.

I'm currently banging my head against a brick wall

Ach don't worry. All you can do is advise. Anyway, a bit of fun and a few hours off may actually really help. At that stage of exams, stress relief might be just as valuable as cramming.

She might change her mind nearer the date. She would be pretty foolish to risk her grades though.

I did that during my A levels - took a night off, went to a gig, got home late and had an exam the next morning. I always took the view that if I didn't know stuff the day before the exam, one night of cramming wouldn't make a huge difference and I was better off just relaxing and taking a break. I got straight As and went to Cambridge so it clearly didn't hold me back (other than the first year uni exam which I went straight to after an all night party which wasn't my finest hour)

Ahh well.
Maybe letting off a bit of steam will do her some good.
