But of a boring question! Does anyone use their local market for fruit and veg? I’m not talking posh farmers markets just the local market. Wondering if it’s cheaper than the supermarket after spending loads this week!

I don't think it's necessary cheaper. My local one probably costs about a third more, on average. But it can be better quality and last longer - and you're supporting local too. To be honest I tend to get more from supermarket for convenience and then extras from the market, like strawberries and raspberries when in season as they are absolutely delicious!

Yes, often, and it tends to be much cheaper and last longer, probably because it’s not sweating in layers of plastic. Also a good way to shop and eat more seasonally and to find new things. DD loves choosing something she hasn’t seen before to try and it’s led to some weird and wonderful meals!

If we time it right we get some amazing bargains.

I use mine for all our fruit and veg every week. It's great. Used to be cheaper; doesn't seem it now, but always top quality, and fresh as a daisy.

Thank you 😊 I like the idea of a shopping experience that encourages my children to try new fruit/vegetables and supporting a local business.

We tend to buy the same fruit and vegetables and I think this would encourage us to try other things. Hopefully might be cheaper or similarly priced but if it isn’t bit lasts longer than that’d be worth it.

Yep, use it for fruit & veg, and the excellent fishmonger.
I don’t think it’s cheaper, but it’s much better quality.
