Can I cook a mutton shoulder in the slow cooker from frozen?

Hello,

Was going to cook it in the instant pot but it's a little too big for it so I just dressed it and put in on high in the slow cooker. Is that safe? I intend to "roast" it in the oven when it's done.

I knew it wasn't a good idea; that's why I asked. I never did it before and I ended up cooking it in a pot as I got paranoid after 5mnts in the slow cooker 😁
