Has anyone traded in a phone with apple and sent I back in the post?

I started the morning preparing the phone for trade in- but struggled with find my and needed more time than I had.

Now that is also sorted i cant remember if there was also a bag in the kit to put the carton in or if I just put the tracking sticker on the box?

I didn't get a bag with mine, just a cardboard box that sort of wrapped around the phone and you remove a strip to stick the edge down. The tracking sticker went directly on the box.
