I'm about to turn 30 and currently unemployed as I didn't renew my work contract as I was pregnant. Now have a 6 month old and thinking about going back to work and having a midlife crisis.
I studied English at uni to masters, while at uni I started freelancing in digital marketing and did this until a couple of years ago. Love working from home on my own. During this I ran a local community & online magazine about eco friendly living. I loved this but it didn't make money.
After that I trained as a primary teacher, I loved the curriculum planning and creating displays for my classroom...but not sure I want to go back as the workload is just ridiculous and have also found a lot of pettiness and social politics among staff and found myself longing to work at home on my own again!
I love kind of content creation and project management, I loved this side of teaching too. Love working from home but found freelancing insecure/unreliable in terms of income. Just feel like I still don't know what to do with my life as the things I enjoy aren't moneymakers. Would love to work in magazines but I live rurally and can't move to London.
My husband and I are about to move to a property with a large garden so I will be growing lots of food and getting chickens (currently have an allotment). I'd love to have a magazine about creating your own little homestead, being sustainable and growing your own. But this wouldn't make money...
Any ideas? Please help me find my calling!
