Gatwick locals - nice pubs/restaurants

Hi - does anyone have any tips for somewhere to stop for a meal near to Gatwick airport, convenient, but nice. We are staying at the airport for an early flight, but figure it would be a better plan to eat elsewhere before we get to the hotel.

What sort of of food are you after?

Nicer rather than Wetherspoons type by preference, but fairly open to any nice place.

The Half Moon in Charlwood was good when I used to visit that area often, not been for several years though. Several of the surrounding villages have nice pubs.

I ate here once a few years ago, it was very good

The Fox Revived, south of Charlwood, east of Horley is very nice

This one was front-runner, I think, but I almost want to book The Curious Pig in the Parlour just for its name.😆

Both are good, can't go wrong with either.

Curious pig has some yum food! Never fails to deliver on taste
