Juxtaposition of YouTube content and ads - just me?

So I like watching stuff on YouTube, like lots of people. Amongst other things I watch a series on the poor in Victorian London, and odds and ends filmed in communities around the world - last night I saw one about coconut farmers in the Philippines, who are basically living on the breadline and a bad harvest would leave them starving (I've always though coconuts are too cheap, but that's another thread).

Anyway, I don't have the premium subscription, so adverts are inserted randomly in the videos, and I go from starving Victorian families to holidays in Dubai, or from African hut-builders to new kitchens.

Now I suppose this has happened for years - you watch some distressing programme on ITV and in the break you get an ad for new cars. But somehow the YouTube ones seem worse, perhaps because the switch is so sudden (even splitting a sentence sometimes).

Yeah, I don't have to watch these programmes, yeah I could pay for a subscription - but I'm just wondering if other people get affected by this.
