I'm off work, waiting for a referral, & epically bored!

I have two crochet projects on the go, and a book series, but they're boring me now. I don't really want to start another book/crochet project - they'll just overwhelm me I think.

I thought about fimo modelling maybe? Do any of you do that? I have some fab pea in a pod earrings I bought - I wondered about trying my hand at making myself something else but not sure how easy it is to manage?

Usually I'd clear out & deep clean but can't manage that at the mo, or I'd be living my best pretend TV chef life in the kitchen but my stomach's temperamental lately so daren't try anything new & unusual 😢

Any ideas to help keep me sane? Ta 😊

I used to do fimo/sculpey as a child and I don't remember it being especially difficult to manage from a materials perspective, is that what you mean?

You just buy the colours you want, keep them wrapped up when you aren't using them, and bake the finished models. I think a set of icing modelling tools would probably be useful for making small and fiddling things.

It's the wrong time of year for it, but I really enjoy making both felt and origami Christmas decorations. I like both of th because they're discrete projects which can easily be finished in less than an afternoon and particularly the origami can be done with a podcast/the TV on as well.

Decopatch is fun and easy

A did some fimo when I was a teenager, it was very satisfying.
I made tiny little animals, they’re still on a shelf at my parent’s house.

I got quite into making mini's and starting making mini food which is great fun. There's some great FB Groups and tutorials. People make incredible stuff!

I also enjoy a bit of paint by numbers. Not to taxing, but still a bit creative.

At the moment I'm following an embroidary group from people on Tedooo and some of the stuff they do is amazing!

Thank you, I'll investigate fimo a bit more. Making miniatures definitely appeals. @theemmadilemma are there any fb groups you could suggest, or specific people for tutorials?

@Augend23 I do actually have a couple of Christmas projects I was saving for later on in the year - maybe I could start on one of those 🤔

@NewYearNewUsername23 I'll have a look at decopatch as well.

Thanks @theemmadilemma I'll have a look at those after I've had a shower.

@MobyJeff that looks interesting too, I've never seen it before, thank you.
