Balancing salt intake struggle

I strongly suspect I've had POTS my whole life as any time I cut my salt intake I all but faint on standing, I also keep a higher than recommended salt intake because when I cut it out I get a rise in migraine attacks.

My Dr wants me, understandably, to cut my salt intake down drastically to get my BP down as middle age has not been kind to me with my numbers, but I can't manage it safely in light of the other two problems I have. I can go on BP medication but that comes with its own issues (including high risk of fainting) and I'd rather not if I can avoid it.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a work around that's both safe and effective?

Have you tried compression garments? They've been a game changer for me. I've got socks and leggings, but I don't think I could wear them in a heatwave. They aren't attractive but I wear jeans most of the time in winter.
I'm pragmatic. I don't think there is always a perfect answer and sometimes you just have to pick a course of action, hope for the best and accept the potential consequences.
