Dublin with Tweens

I'm taking 11 yo DTs over to Dublin for a couple of days at half term. Any recommendations on things to do? They want to go to the zoo and shopping. Will be reliant on public transport.

I've been several times but we usually have a car and go out and about a bit.

Where will you be staying? There is no direct public transport to the zoo but you could get the red line Luas to Heuston Station and walk the rest of the way. There is some shopping in the city centre, Henry St, Grafton St, Jervis and St Stephens Green. For more shopping you could take the green line Luas to Dundrum Town Centre.
For other things to do-The Epic Museum, the Viking Splash tour.

The Leprechaun Museum, especially the giant furniture, is fun. Also, the Viking Splash Tour.
