Hi! So I’m claiming late for maternity allowance for a few different reasons but it’s really important we get it now. My question is what date shall I sign it as in the part for my signature ? My work delayed writing up my SMP they didn’t do it till late January and then finally sent it to me early Feb… Does the date I sign it as effect my chances of being accepted/backdated like shall I put it for a date weeks/months ago or shall I just put it as today ? Also what is suggested to write in the “tell us more” column I was just going to to explain why I am late sending and also request the back pay and why as we are desperate to move now with a baby our house isn’t suitable for a baby/family at all and we’re struggling financially too , anything else to help?
