Buying Jewellery Online

My partner and I are looking to buy an engagement ring and I have found somewhere online. I can’t see they have a shop though they do have premises in Hatton Garden. I have looked on Google maps and I can’t see the shop nor can I find much about the company on company’s house. They are a dormant company. How would I know if it is a genuine company / jewellers etc. They have plenty of google reviews and they are on Trust Pilot as a verified company but I honestly don’t know enough about jewellery to know if this is usual or not. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Go. In. Person!!!

I would never buy high end jewellery online without seeing and touching first

I would be going in person to their premises in Hatton Garden but I just wonder if I’m being naive about them originating online?

So so many options, why go with the one you are uncomfortable with?

Anything you buy retail will be overpriced, try to get something antique or Preloved if vfm is important or get them to make you something bespoke. I had my engagement ring made from a stone we bought in Prague where we got engaged with diamonds from a ring I already owned set in platinum. Unique and had grown in value last time I checked. If you are going for retail then you seem to be doing the right things. Mine was made in Birminghams jewellery quarter as the Birmingham mark was more prestige at the time than London
