How’s Your Week Ahead Looking?

Mine is shaping up to be quite busy & I am working slightly different days/hours as I have a follow up appointment at the hospital
after my mammogram. Trying not to worry about that. I may try a Pilates class this afternoon. Hoping to catch up with a couple of my oldest friends. One has recently come back to the UK for the summer/early Autumn as she & her DH do every year. It was so lovely to spend time with them last summer.
I have someone popping round tomorrow with a view to doing a one off clean. I got so fed up with some of the people I’ve contacted & genuinely wonder if they actually want anyone’s business! Also some of the quotes have been eye watering! I’m struggling health wise so the house hasn’t been given the attention it needs. As my DM says, it’s desperate for a “ good bottoming”!
Ongoing battle with DD14 who is being homeschooled ( I use that term very loosely!) Just need to try & encourage her to see the bigger picture. May also be looking after DM if DF manages to fit in a round of golf or two. He really needs a break.
Did my meal plan at the end of last week, although it’s flexible. We might have an Indian takeaway at DM & DF’s on Saturday, postponed from DF’s birthday. I’m trying to clear the freezer a bit as it’s very full & will therefore be using more energy. Keep saying I’m not going to buy anymore yellow stickered ready meals!
Wishing you all a great week!

I have had two weeks leave, back to work today which I'm expecting to be stressful, as tomorrow I am being sterilised so will then be off sick the rest of the week with no time to sort any work disasters which may have happened while I've been on leave! Away at the weekend for a family celebration so got that to look forward to.

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 17/04/2023 09:05

Sanch1 hope you don’t get too stressed & hope you are feeling better for the celebration

Busy!

My son is back to school today, I have one university assignment to finish off (just cutting some words, won’t take too long) then another to start, giving blood today, dentist, a theatre performance to go to, hearing aid appointment, then we are off on holiday on Friday!

Anyone else? Thought this would be a popular thread

Mine's shaping up to be boring.

I'm off work & the girls are back at school. We've cancelled Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides tomorrow, because of not enough adults (not that I'd manage the walk there with whatever we need & then supervising 30 dc, anyway).

My friend's popping round for a cuppa, and another rang me to check in, this morning.

I need to re-schedule a follow up telephone gp appointment at some point today & that's it at the moment 🤷‍♀️

My house is also in need of a major clean and tidy but it's basics only atm. The girls have done loads but it's in need of the proper "everything out & sorted" it usually gets in school holidays.

Monday and Tuesday I provide childcare for my two grandsons. At the moment dgs1 is at nursery and dgs2 is sleeping. On Wednesday I have a friend coming for lunch and a blether. Thursday and Friday will be peaceful when I potter about the house and garden. Saturday I'm having dgs1 for a sleepover. So a family orientated week.

notacooldad · 17/04/2023 11:45

Mines not too bad.
I'm going to work soon. So I'll be there until 11.30pm. tonight
Tomorrow afternoon im meeting my friend for a bike ride. We are up to 50 miles at the moment. Bike ride planned for Thursday morning and Sunday morning as well.
We are going to the theatre on Friday night.
Im out for a meal on Saturday night with a group of friends. Wednesday night me and a group of friends are out walking, probably Pendle Hill.
Wednesday morning I've got a long awaited dentist appointment to start some treatment. Wednesday after the dentist I'm seeing my friend before she moves to France. Wednesday afternoon a few of us are going swimming in the river a couple of miles from my house.
Typical week really, apart from the dentist!

Mine is very exciting, did body combat this morning, got body pump tomorrow and on Wednesday we are off to South America for 7 weeks! For part of the trip we are Going to be meeting up with DS who has been travelling out there since January and will travel to the Galapagos' islands with him.

Mines shaping up to be busy.

My best friend lost her mum last week, only child and lost her dad 5 years ago.

I shall be dropping kids to school each day and going to hers to help her with funeral arrangements and sorting the house out (she lives with her mum so is homeless when the house is given back to the council) it's going to be a tough for weeks.

Nothing overly exciting either way. I’m a leader with the local rainbows unit so got some planning to do prior to our first meeting back after the holidays which I will catch up on tomorrow afternoon. Work is stressing me out, there’s been tensions between my boss and I to the point where I am actively looking for a new job but so far not having any luck so feeling a bit down about that, which is just making me feel a bit depressed about everything to be honest. It’s nothing I won’t get myself out of in a week or so but hoping to get some interviews from jobs I’ve applied for which closed for applications today.

Otherwise I’m already looking forward to a lie in on Saturday morning, kids have moved into a new dance class and now have an 11am start instead of a 9am, ridiculously excited at not having to drag myself out of bed as early as usual.

So far went to university reunion dinner then stayed overnight at hotel and went swimming and to steam room. Then today we got DS out of hospital and he's back home so will be taking care of him. Ordered presents for the hospital team. Dd has Elton John concert. Rest of week few meetings re DS.

MaMisled · 17/04/2023 23:59

3 grown up DC booked a Devon caravan holiday for the 5 of us and the dogs! A week of hiking, cooking outdoors, wild swimming, evenings snuggled under blankets and, apparently having all evening meals cooked for me! I'm sure there'll be a few arguments too.😁

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 18/04/2023 14:02

MaMisled that sounds wonderful!
