Has anyone booked a comfort seat with Ryanair?

Planning to travel to Majorca in June with my DS who will be 20 months and DP. I'm thinking about booking a comfort seat for him. Has anyone done this and would you say it's worth it for a just under 3 hour flight? He was fine last year but as an active toddler now I'm a bit worried. If so, has anyone booked one and know how it works? When selecting flights would I select 3 adults rather than 2 and an infant? No option specifically for a comfort seat. I assume it would be the same price as our seats is that right?

Check that you can have a child in that row and whether seats for infants under 2 can be booked that way - you used to have to contact them

What do you mean by a comfort seat? I've been on the emergency exit a few times with Ryanair and it's loads better but you're only allowed if you're over 16 I think, maybe 18 to help with the doors in an emergency.

A comfort seat is just an extra seat so that he can have his own once the seatbelt signs are off rather than sit on our laps. I think most airlines do them but I've never booked one before. It says on their website to call them but other places I've read say it needs to be done online but doesn't state how/what you need to select

Because numerous other places I've read says people have called them and all been told they need to do it online, so just trying to cut out the middle man and save time as from what I've heard they aren't easily contactable ..

yes we booked and paid for seats with Ryanair and was assigned seats on row 35. The plane only had 31 rows to we had paid to sit on seats that didn’t exist. We were then sat separately on the next flight as the flight was overbooked. And I had to fight for my seat payment back. Total nonsense

I did it recently, you book 3 adult tickets and in the first name and surname put 'extra infant' and 'comfort seat'. You then have to contact them (I did it on live chat) to add the infant to your booking and book seats together

Don't book it as an adult priced one! Book a child's one, it's cheaper at least.

I wouldn't expect Ryanair to honour it though, your comfort seat will probably be 4 rows behind you or something...

We had a comfortable seat last week either Ryan Air
It was emergency exit so not suitable for children.

Perfect thank you! Did you also select infant (3 adults and infant) or just 3 adults?

Just 3 adults, otherwise they would have charged extra to add the infant. We then had to give them her details over live chat and they added her to my ticket for free
