Saving our wild isles is on iPlayer only! Too hard hitting!

Apparently too controversial to broadcast as part of the main series. I’m gobsmacked that this isn’t actually getting as much air time as possible!

so important to understand how we are destroying our own country.

Yes, the BBC won't show it as it proves how much the Tories have fucked the environment along with everything else.

I am astonished. It isn’t even vaguely hard hitting imo. Neither is it political.

I think it’s misleading to say the tories have fucked the environment. I’m not a Tory voter but this hasn’t happened to our country overnight

I watched it and wondered if it had been toned down/re-edited. There was nothing it it that criticised the government and it focussed on the helpful projects we need to be replicating.

Perhaps you’re right and it was re edited. It was a very normal nature documentary imo.

This was misreported. That's not why it's on iPlayer only. It's because that episode wasn't part of the commissioned series. It was an extra one commissioned by separate producers and the BBC bought it to add on, but only bought the rights for iPlayer

Well that sounds odd but makes a lot more sense.

"Wild Isles is – and always was – a five-part series and does not shy away from environmental content.
“We have acquired a separate film for iPlayer from the RSPB and WWF and Silverback Films about people working to preserve and restore the biodiversity of the British Isles.”"

No sixth episode for Sir David Attenborough’s Wild Isles, BBC says

The broadcaster denied accusations that it had pulled a sixth episode of the new nature series because of fears of a political backlash.
