Best way to send a “save the date” / birthday invitation over WhatsApp?

I am having a big birthday this summer and it’s now a few months away so I want to send a “save the date” / invitation over WhatsApp.

Is there a way to do this without creating a group that everybody is added to? Ideally I want to send the same message to a number of people at the same time but they can only respond to me? I would do a Facebook invite but a lot of my friends don’t use Facebook much anymore…

Or if you know any other clever ways on how to send out a group invite using people’s mobile numbers then please do let me know!! TIA.

You can do a broadcast message on WhatsApp ...send the same message to however many people you select.

Click the three dots in top right and you should have option to do new broadcast.

Broadcast list - think if you aren’t saved in their phones as a contact they don’t get the message so it sort of winnows out the less close friends 😉
