Just that really. Feeling a bit down :( and don't want to turn to food or alcohol.

Go for a walk, preferably somewhere nice and quiet with a bit of birdsong, and just breathe in the nice spring smells, don’t take your phone

I'm watching as I WFH but have to be in the office once a month, which is tomorrow. Even worse I need to get up at 4am. 😭

Loud music.

Have you ever watched Still Game? Comedy on BBC iplayer. 1st episode is okish but after gets really hilarious IMO. I was off sick and took to rationing these the first time I watched it

cptartapp · 16/04/2023 18:05

Watch 'Race across the World'. It's on now. BBC2.

Jesus. I'll swap with you! I'd get up at 2am to only be around arseholes once a month.

I posted this after getting in from a walk around the park and still feeling down 😊

I ordered a pizza while I tidied up up the flat and got ready for the week ahead, and now I'm going to drive into the countryside for an evening walk.

Bakinhappy · 16/04/2023 18:35

Is there anything you can do ahead to make tomorrow easier for you?
I have the school lunches made and uniforms ready so that will make my morning easier and I feel better about that now.

Other than that, I know you dont want to turn to food but is there something different you could have for your evening snack to shake things? Something healthy even.

Run a bath, put clean sheets on the bed and clean pj's.
Light a couple of candles and make your self a cuppa if nothing else!

I'm watching series one as never watched it and it's ace! Looking forward to another episode when the kids are in bed and will definitely beat the Sunday blues!

I think this Canada series is a bit slow, takes me all week to watch an episode.

I get up early for work, so always have my clothes laid out and dinner prepped by now. It’s vital!

currently in bath.

Need to work on this in future.

I’m feeling the same. I think I’ll put some comedy on. Greg Davies usually lifts my mood x

I find it helps to be organised and have everything ready for the morning. And having a bit of a Sunday evening “ritual” that you look forward to eg bath with a glass of wine, hot shower and nice body lotion. Then an early night so you’ll get a good nights sleep. Having a nice outfit and breakfast planned for Monday makes me feel ready to face the week.
