Olivia Colman - probably an unpopular opinion but I loved her! Thought she was great!

Erin Doherty - she was brilliant as Princess Anne

Josh O'Connor - he made me feel very sympathetic towards Charles :-(

Tobias Menzies - handsome fella isn't he?!

Helena Bonham-Carter. Wonderful

Charles Dance. Scared me for some reason

The whole of S5 confused me. Elizabeth Debicki was fantastic as Diana but the rest of them I just couldn't take to at all. John Major? All I see is Sick Boy...

Tbh, none of them were brilliant but that's what happens when you do a sort of mishmash of something inventing it as you go along and never knowing for sure if you're representing historical fact or just making it up. It inevitably turns into a parody.
At a push Matt Smith as PP. Because I hated him so much in Dr Who it was interesting seeing him in a different role. And young PP isn't someone we've seen much (obviously) so there was less to compare.
The various Queens, Charles and Diana just all reminded me of the Spitting Image puppets of them back in the 80s. Helena BC is just Bellatrix with vodka, the Queen Ma was just random posh woman who seemed like she was trying to pull off Maggie Smith in Downton and failing.

I just don't think it worked and whilst I'm sure the actors are grinning all the way to the bank, I doubt many of them will look on it as their finest moment.

Absolutely loved the young adult Princess Margaret and Teenage Prince Philip. I’ve liked all Camillas and all Annes and the duke and duchess of Windsor and Queen Mary. My favourite PMs are Churchill and Wilson (love Jason Watkins in anything). I couldn’t get away with Thatcher but Dennis was good.

Oh I thought Gillian Anderson was phenomenal. I also love the powerful, haunting music. Really looking forward to S6 later this year.

Matt Smith as the young Phillip was my absolute favourite (but I would pay good money to watch MS reading the phone book out loud, I think he's a phenomenal actor).

Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, all the Camillas, both Diana's, Gillian Anderson, Josh O Connell , Charles Dance as Mounbatten, Tobias Menzies as Philip, Lesley Manville as older Margaret.

Not good: all Queen Mothers, HBC as HBC again, Dominic West as Charles, the most recent Princess Anne, Imelda Staunton as Dolores Umbridge.
