Birthday party food

Hi

we are intending A party in our house soon - a family and friends party for our daughters birthday and a housewarming. We want to have a mix of adult and kids food - and alcohol and soft drinks.

  • has anyone used the party food services from Ocado/supermarkets? If so presumably you need to heat the food up still. Are there any other alternatives?

-and has anyone done a majestic sale and return so that we don’t end up wasting alcohol. Do you recommend?

we are new to this home entertaining lark as we have only just moved into a house big enough to do so

We have used the food to order service at M&S. it's fine but not as good as homemade. It kind of depends what sort of thing you want and whether you have time to do the equivalent at home yourself. Although I prefer to do it myself it was incredibly convenient on this particular occasion due to timings and logistics.
