Is there such a thing as a very nice spa hotel…

… which doesn’t only serve fancy food in tiny portions?

Have been looking for somewhere for a weekend away, with lovely bedrooms and luxurious spa facilities. Naturally most of these places are upmarket, expensive hotels which serve Michelin-starred type food.

But we hate fancy food. We like to eat pizza and drink beer!

Is there anywhere which would offer us a luxury experience but with the food we like? (Bonus points if is within 2 hours of London!)

I've just been to Malvern Spa, was lovely and they had burgers and steak on the menu, and they will serve alcohol to your lounger!
Depends on just how luxurious you want though - the people in front of me in the queue to check in started their spa day with a massive complaint to the management about how it wasn't as luxurious as they were expecting. It was admittedly quite busy but otherwise great.

@Worried1305 I like the Richmond harbour hotel- very nice pool and spa, lovely restaurant that serves both fancy stuff and burgers- and you've got the Roebuck pub 2 minutes walk away if you want cheap and basic pub grub too - right next to Richmond park and if it's wet you can go shopping in kingston or Westfield- I honestly prefer it to fancy spa hotels in middle of nowhere (and it's cheaper)

Lucknam Park near Bath - they have two restaurants, one Michelin type food and the other more relaxed. Below menu has pizza, grill, etc on.

We loved it -but visited a while ago.

Try the Buxton crescent hotel but book bed and breakfast only. Across the road is a great brewery/pub type place with upmarket pub grub and there's several other places in walking distance. I completely get what you are saying, I like posh food too but not more than one night of it

Lifehouse in Essex - lovely spa hotel but the restaurant is more upmarket pub food, eg burgers, steak.
