Please help with my cat

Hello. Sadly we lost our little girl kitty to heart failure two weeks ago. We had her and her brother from the rescue. They were very bonded.

We brought her home after being put to sleep so her brother could see her.

We have given him lots and lots of attention. Not changed his routine but every few days he pees on my bed. Only mine.. he has access to outside and two litter trays as he always has.

Can anyone advise how I can help him? Vet has ruled out uti. Should we get another cat? He is almost 2 years old so still young.

Try Cystease capsules in his food and a feliway plugin or beaphur plug in to soothe him. Two weeks is nothing to a cat though in time.

Try Zylkene capsules, 75mg, open and sprinkle on food. It's made from milk protein and designed to relax them and reduce stress.

Also a pinch of powdered valerian powder will help.

Ask the vet for advice as they may know an animal behaviourist. Don't get another cat yet as it will just unsettle him further.

I had two kittens a boy and a girl, they were inseparable. Sadly the girl died, and the little boy cat seemed lost, they had anxiety separation when not together and he kind of transferred that onto me, he started following me to work and never left my side. I felt so bad for him,.I did get another pair of kittens, another boy and girl and it has worked out really well, the three of them have really bonded, they are approx one year old now but he still needs a lot of reassurance from me. Still follows me everywhere. They have all been neutered and spayed.
I have had cats all my life, some do definitely enjoy company of other cats, they are not all loners. My male cats especially have always bonded well with any newcomers, it can take time, but l am glad that he now has the other cats, because like you l wasn't sure initially. I got them quite soon after, the little girl was only 5 months old when she passed at vets during spay procedure.

Thanks all. I've been out and bought a plug in...
