Church outfits

So I’m really struggling with what to wear to church. I’m very jeans, boots and smart tops kind of thing for my every day wear and don’t have the figure for a nice dress, also I’m large chested so I would feel uncomfortable in a slightly revealing outfit suited more for flat chested girls. I feel turning up in jeans is so dressed down though. Any ideas in getting ready now with no idea what to wear. Of course dc have an abundance of nice outfits to wear

Things I have worn to church (in the UK) include:
Jeans and a tshirt
Shorts and tshirt/ (the type I'd wear shopping, not beachwear)
Dress and tights
Skirt and top

Basically, if it's clothes, and it's not sporting offensive graphics/ is not see through etc it's fine for church.
If you WANT to dress more formally for church that's ok too, there are some very well-put together families at my church and I am a little in awe of how they manage to be so smart and coordinated on a Sunday morning! But church should be a place where you can come as you are, if that means you rolled out of bed, stuck on yesterdays jogggers and a hoody and turn up late without brushing your hair- that's ok, the main thing is you made the effort to go.

Just got back from an early Church service where I was doing the story for the children and was wearing leather look jeans and a white shirt and trainers.

I had planned on wearing combats and a sweatshirt until I couldn't find them. I often wear a dress and boots or dress and sandals in the summer. No one will mind what you wear to Church, the congregation will just be pleased you attend.

Jeans, jumpers and boots in our church - too cold for Sunday best!

Off to church in a minute in my every day clothes.

Easter Day the church was packed and the gospel reading was by a teenager in t shirt and joggers/sweats. I love to see it - come as you are.

I think l would buy two pairs of smarter trousers (black or indigo jeans either ) and alternate them

not that I totally think you can wear anything big you sound uncomfortable to do so

the weather will be good for midi and maxi dresses soon enough

Slimjimtobe · 16/04/2023 10:58

But (not big)

I go in motorbike gear, nobody bats an eyelid. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in

Jeans are totally normal at my church, really wouldn’t worry!

I regularly wear jeans, but I do sometimes wear a pair of work trousers if they're still clean and I want to dirty them out! Then I'd just wear a top. I'd only wear a dress if I were attending a Christening or some other special service. I might wear a shirt and trousers for a parade service. Just wear what you want, as long as it's not offensive.
