Which job?

im a senior manager in the voluntary sector. £32k for 35hr week over 4 days.
ive been approached by another organisation to apply for job with them. Position looks interesting. It’s £4k more salary -£36k but it’s 37.5hrs over 5 days. And 3 days less holiday.
no chance of a raise in current role. What to do?!

Unless you can negotiate the hours and holiday I wouldn’t bother if I were you. Working an extra day in the week would cost more (unless from home?) and you’d lose the day off. It’s not enough extra for me, to basically have to lose an entire day off per week. If you have childcare costs it wouldn’t be good either. Worth asking to negotiate though, and if they say no they aren’t v flexible and therefore not a very attractive employer.

Thanks. I could live with less holidays but do benefit from a 4 day week. I’ll have a conversation with them.
