Has anyone held a grudge toward you over something out of your control?

I got married on a Friday, my cousin got married the next day . The weather forecast was for heavy rain on my day . And sunshine for hers except it ended up the other way round . To this day I can see it sticks in her throat that the weather was fine on my day . She holds a grudge on me ! As if I had anything to do with the weather!

Poor you! Awful to have a grudge held over something you can't control. Try to not dwell on it, easier said than done though.

Oh yes @Eggseggseverywhere
I had a dc when it wasn’t ‘my turn’!
disgruntled gps
i said to them that the usual response is ‘congratulations’ and that I wasn’t aware I was meant to consult with them first…

My MIL friend is still frosty towards DH and I when we happen to see her sporadically.
Her DD got married the year after us our wedding venue refused to have their reception. No idea why it's our fault it's the businesses decision (it was only licenced for 12 events a year so was very selective about who they would allow to book) basically they refused any bridezilla types!

My Aunt holds a grudge that my parents neglect and abuse of me meant my grandparents had to take me (and my siblings, but I was the youngest by a long way and aged with her children) in which meant her children didn’t get time with GPs without me there.

The fact my Nana gave up work and therefore minded my cousin everyday after school and in the holidays, which wouldn’t have happened otherwise, doesn’t balance it out for her.

I can understand her being pissed off at her brother, but I was 7…

These are funny, I'm going to have a think.

There’s a woman in my otherwise very neighbourly street who hasn’t spoken to me for 20 years over some imagined slight involving her bonkers friend.

OH thinks it’s hilarious how she performatively side steps me if our paths cross on the pavement.

She looks just like Olive from On The Buses, a character who I adored, so it’s all quite surreal. I mean, fancy being grudged at by Olive.
