My dc is determined to work in Musical theatre (they're year 9 currently already singing and acting) and wants to take a dance class/classes to become "triple threat" as I understand it's referred to. They are then aiming for further education in musical theatre eventually. We've looked at some amazing looking prospectuses for Mountview, Italia Conte, Artsed, Trinity Laban, Bird College.
I assumed Ballet would be the best choice but now I'm not sure. I've read modern contemporary, Jazz and tap are better but to be honest haven't got a clue. Do they teach these skills at those institutions? I would have assumed it was too late by the time you're auditioning for these places?
So if you or someone you know works in this area could you please advise me? I'd be really grateful.
