My P45 has got lost in the post what now?

Can they send me a new one? Does this matter?

Google HMRC new starter form and complete that and give to your new employer

You can complete a p46 instead. Or ask them to email you one

So they can do it electronically then?

Do a P46 and HMRC will eventually get you in the correct tax code. They can't issue copies of a P45.
