I can't stop taking my blood pressure

I take blood pressure medication following a stressful diagnosis last year. It was only borderline, but the GP said it was best to treat it aggressively and it came down well. The average when I last did a week's log for the GP was 117/77 for context.

I haven't thought about it for a while, but a couple of days ago a friend asked me how my BP was nowadays, and it triggered all my health anxiety. I went home and tested it, and it was higher than I'm used to. I carried on testing and it's been high for the last few days. I can't stop doing it - I think it might come down so I carry on. I've done it 15 times so far tonight, and it goes up and down better highish normal and a bit high.

Please tell me to just take three readings and stop, because I can't seem to tell myself! There's nothing to be gained from this, is there?!

Your increasing anxiety is probably making it worse! At least, that's what happens to me, so yes, take 3 readings and stop - told you!
