I have read this a million times and am listening to the unabridged audible version. It seems large chunks are missing.

I can’t find my hard copy. To test my theory can someone tell me the sentence which ends Chapter 41?

@QCKC can't make the screenshot work. But mine are very different! 40 is 25.17. 41 is 31.16. 42 is 29.05. 43 is 30.07. Weird!

Off the back of hearing about the television adaptation of rivals I am also listening to the riders audio book as well as re reading rivals! I have noticed bits are missing from the audio

If you read some of the reviews on audible this is mentioned quite a bit

I did wonder (spoiler alert) what happened to the bit where Billy stopped drinking etc, but presumed I'd gone mad. Clearly not.

I can’t remember exactly how you do it but sometimes you can download updates for audible books, might be in a secret corner of the Amazon website in your account somewhere

I haven’t got that book, but a couple of books I have on audible seem to have been split into more chapters than they used to be. All the content is there though, it’s just been split up differently. Weird.
