Why are my books so sore?

I've always had tender breasts for a week or so before my period starts, usually stops as soon as the bleeding starts.

But this month I have sore breasts just after the bleeding has finished.

I'm 52 with no real menopause symptoms so far, but is this linked? Am I due another period within the week?!

Was just here for the books 🤦‍♀️. Sorry, I have no advice but it could potentially be a meno thing? Sure someone will come along soon.

I have this too, I got referred to the breast clinic as I thought I felt a lump and one boob was always hurting, easing slightly after my period started. Thankfully there was no lump but they said the pain was mastalgia. I'm 35 so not menopausal yet, but I've been sterilised for 6 years and that can cause it to happen earlier.
