How much do you pay for your TV and internet?

Interested to know how much others pay for "traditional" packages from providers who supply TV, internet and a landline?

I know the prices will vary hugely. Some customers get bargains and others get robbed!

It seems unfair that prices aren't more transparent and it depends who you speak to on the day as to what "special offer" they can offer you.

I know you can pay for apps to get TV packages now but we'd need to educate ourselves if this is a route to go down as neither of us are that techy and it feels like a mine field.

We need the free view channels, a box with a record function (I think - unless on demand apps do all that for you now?), reliable internet (we don't download films or steam music or anything) and a landline phone. 2 adults, 2 toddlers so not teenagers needed WiFi yet.

Would really welcome prices, providers and any tips!

I pay £32 for sky which covers broadband and phone line rental. I used to have tv but dropped it as only watched main channels anyway - thought I would miss recording but tbh so much is on catch-up it's not a big deal anyway.

Then £11 for Netflix and £6 for Disney plus. Mainly for kids but I have started watching a bit on Netflix.

I work from home so internet needs to be reliable - sky seems stable and virgin near me seems to always have issues.

£22 a month for tinternet

£30 for (very good) BT Wi-Fi. No landline, we use freeview for regular TV, plus Netflix

Just renewed today with sky after giving cancellation notice. Broadband, phone line, cinema, signature, kids, sports, HD and netflix for £61.50 a month.

Currently around £23 (shortly rising to £26.40) with BT for fibre BB and landline with anytime calls.

@TheMindfulMum it's cheaper than we've paid for the same package for the last 18months and I thought that was a good price. I think I got lucky with the advisor as I've spoken to them online and over the phone a few times over the last few weeks and the best deal upto today was £86. The full cost should be just under £150. I did also pay a £30 admin fee and the tv is sky q rather than streaming you're comparing. The broadband is £13 a month. No phone calls included. We do also have 3 mobile phone contracts with them but they're renewed separately.

I wish they would just have a set price that everyone pays rather than having to haggle/ threaten to leave etc. I did price up with bt etc so I knew what the other companies were offering. Apart from this the best I found was bt (if you get certain benefits- my son is severely disabled so we qualified) for £20 a month fibre and calls to landlines and mobiles and then now TV and pay for netflix/ paramount separately. The broadband can be cancelled without charge and the now TV was a 6 month contract. I was going to do this and see if sky offered a come back deal which I believe they do.

Virgin had some good offers too if you spoke to them directly.

I was paying 27 but phoned today after notification I was about to receieve an increase.
