How do I stop her constantly moaning at me?

I work with a colleague I consider a friend. Since the end of last year she’s done nothing but moan about the job to me.

Which is fine, I want to be a friend and help but she never helps herself. She’s done nothing to change the situation. So tbh I’m fed up of hearing about it.

I had this and I lived with her too!

I found the best way was to come back with overwhelmingly positive and optimistic responses she will hate it and stop.

Friend: 'ugh had to get up for an early shift today at 6am I'm so tired'

me: 'I bet your so glad that you didn't have to get up 4am, imagine how bad that would be'

Friend: 'got I just hate dealing with customers especially the ones who demand refunds'

me: 'I love dealing with customers, I really enjoy making their day with a smile. When they demand a refund I act extra lovely to them and watch as they mellow'

Negative people repel positivity haha

my go to line is 'aren't we so lucky.....' 'I'm so grateful....'
