Can anyone advise me how to get from Liverpool to Chester? We are arriving for the Eurovision but our accommodation is in Chester. Would appreciate any tips!

Train

The train is your best bet.

Comefromaway · 13/04/2023 11:12

Whereabouts in Chester is the accommodation?

Aaron95 · 13/04/2023 11:16

If you are driving it takes about 40 mins if there is no traffic.

Otherwise, direct train from Lime St. to Chester - takes about 40mins. Last train most days is around 11.30pm.

Thank you all, that's great

Driving is easy and would take about 45 minutes. The train is even easier - you can get the train from any of the local stations - Lime Street or Central - and it would take around an hour. The last one is around 11.45 pm and costs £5.60.

Lucky you. You get to see two wonderful cities and the Eurovision.

Hey presto.

Magic innit.

If you drive, you have to pay a toll on the Mersey Tunnel. Also, Liverpool City Centre car parks are very expensive so you’d be better on the train - 40m and every half hour, as PPs have said.

Thanks to you all. I'll be getting the train so as I won't have a car. Wasn't sure whether there was a train or how long it took. Appreciate all of your comments
