Cake mixture

I'm baking a 4 tier lemon sponge today.
Can I make up all the mixture at once (I can only bake 2 at a time)? Or is it better to make a new batch for the second bake?
Thank you 😊

How long is the baking time for the first two?
To be honest, I'd make the second batch of batter once the first sponges are in the oven. Just to be on the safe side. Good luck!

If they are going in straight after one another and it’s a typical 22-25 minute bake, it’s fine to do them in one batch.

If it’s a big cake taking around an hour, I’d do them separately.

Today I shall be attempting piping....
