How much money do you give your kids at the arcade on a day out at the beach.
Dd 10 and ds 7 had 5 pound each and ds 3 got 1 pound worth of 2p. All seemed happy enough.
I got the impression that the other kids had lots of money to spend.
Was i tight? or does it seem ok?

All kids everywhere have more/less/the same money as other kids, just like adults.

It doesn't make you tight 🤷

It matters more that they had fun, not how much was spent. When we go to the arcades we normally spend £10 - 20 on DD as we are also big kids and try to give a chance to win! I think we go too far and teach bad habits.

Everyone’s circumstances are different, when we go to the arcades for the day, I change up a 20 and share it between 3 of us depending which games we go on etc, when we are on holiday the kids usually spend about. £10 a day In The arcades. As long as they have fun, that’s all 5hat matters …

They did have fun. Dd even won a teddy 😲 I struggle with things like days out xmas presents etc as i had very little growing up so don't have anything to base it on. If that makes sense?

Makes sense and it affects us all differently. I hate to see DD go without because why should she - I remember that feeling and I hated it. DP cannot stand to waste money as he went without and now stockpiles cash, just in case. He will probably be buried with it.

2 DC, they get £5 each if we go to the arcade. If they want any more then they have to use pocket money/holiday money.
It makes them a bit more choosy rather than just feeding £1 coins into the machines that give out tickets. They soon realise that the 2p and 10p machines last longer!
