I need to prepare a guest room, can you help me

I need to prepare a guest room. It currently has one double bed in the room. I need to add a small double bed.

How should I proceed with the layout.

It's currently like picture A.

I was going to be lazy-ish and put a bed like picture B.

But I think maybe moving the double bed to the other side and adding a single bed too similar to a hotel style type of layout might be more suitable.

What do you guys think?

What are the other boxes and is this a hotel room or spare room in your home?
whilst it might not look as neat, if i’m sharing a room I’d prefer option B as it feels more like you’ve got your own space.

Are the beds drawn to scale for the room?
What are the boxes that move about?
Where is the window?
What is the bit sticking out at the bottom of each sketch?

Probably B from the info given.

The bit sticking out from all the pictures are open shelves.

The window is on the wall across the room from the door.

The boxes and bits moving about would be a bedside locker and drawers.

It's for my home and it's not a hotel and it's not a guest house. It will be for visitors and a family.

No the beds are not drawn to scale for the room.

OK. What are the dimensions of the room?

I haven't a clue what the dimensions of the room is. It is reasonably large however there is a lot of furniture.

Impossible to advise when you don't have the dimensions tbh.

Personally I would add a daybed or sofa bed, to avoid the hotel look. If it is a room you will use for guests often then if you can avoid over crowding with other furniture that would be best.

B - it gives at least a semblance of privacy.
