WWYD?

DS (6) got a nasty cut on his eye today at holiday club. No one saw what happened, said he fell on some lego which seems a bit random.

Anyway, after trailing round minor injury centre followed by A&E he is now all patched up. But on the way home he said 'xxx said he hates me so I guess he's not my friend anymore', after a bit of coaxing transpires he's been hitting him and he thinks might have pushed him! Not 100% sure he's not putting 2 and 2 together to get 5 though.

WWYD in this situation? He's got 1 day left at the club.

Well I'd not be sending him back tomorrow. Beyond that I'm not sure.

Are you asking if you should complain?

runforyourdog · 12/04/2023 20:36

Yeah I guess would you send him, if so what would you say?

Your poor DS.
Has the holiday club been in touch to find out how he is doing?
Which one is it, did he fall on some legos or no one saw what happened?
Did your DS need stitches?
You certainly do not owe them an explanation at this stage for not taking him back.

I don't think anyone saw but that's what they thought had happened. The minor injury place thought needed stitches but they managed to glue it in the end.

I don't think I owe the holiday club an explanation but we both need to work so can't really pull him out easily!

I think if he's happy to go in the morning then we will take him and explain what he's said and our concerns. Hopefully just a one off it's normally got a good reputation but won't book them in again. He little boy is only 5! When did kids get so mean!
