Week off before new job help!

I’m about to start a new job in a few weeks time, big step up into an exec role.
I have a weeks leave booked the week before I start. I want to make the most of it, it’s going to be a very full on few months the for me when I start.
I’m pretty poor at organising stuff for my own enjoyment, but would like to make the most of this week. Any thoughts/ suggestions from anyone ? Ideally a few nights away with DH would have been lovely but that’s not on the cards as he doesn’t see the significance in this week off for me. Hence it’s up to me to make it happen!

What kinds of things do you enjoy? Where in the country are you?

Im in the south east, but can travel car or train.

my dream break would have been a great hotel in a city somewhere, great food and wine and company.
so it’s coming up with stuff that can be just as good alone.

Firstly I'd batch cook that week - so cook a double size meal and freeze the rest., That'll give you a head start when your brain is fried after all day at the new job & new commute has worn you out.
Secondly I'd check your wardrobe and make sure you have everything you need.
Thirdly I'd see if I can get a hair appointment & any other beauty treatment you fancy. - if you know you look good on day 1 it's less of a worry.

Then the rest of the time, I'd go and visit any place/friend/etc you've thought of going but not quite got around to - eg this week and next week I have days off to visit gardens I've not been to before (one as it has a rare open day, the other to see the tulips it is known for) and have arranged to meet a (different) friend at each.
