ADHD - Cognitively supplement

Posting in Chat for traffic. I have come across a supplement made by a very small company called Cognitively and aimed very specifically at ADHD adults and children.

i just wondered if anyone had tried it or knew anything about it. It is very expensive and I’d like to know a bit more before I shell out my hard earned pounds. If it works though it would be incredible and definitely preferable to the stimulant route with all its side effects. It also mentions being good for menopause too so potentially two birds with one stone as it were. Any info much appreciated.

Weird - I just saw this on tiktok this morning!

No idea if it’s any good or not, but a friend thoroughly recommends lions mane supplement at quite high doses - her sons have adhd, refuse medication as they don’t like how it makes them feel, but happily take lions mane and say it helps.

Is it the Focus? £50 a month? Jesus.

I take Lion's Mane, Gingko and 6x Equazen Eye Q Omega 3 a day - I notice there's no Omega 3 in Cognitively which I find a bit strange. There's quite a bit of evidence that high doses can help ADHD.

I also have to say I can't see where it sells a supplement specifically for ADHD, but has lumped it in with 'baby brain' and 'covid brain' too. Which doesn't exactly inspire confidence...

I bought this for my dc. We used the kid packet until it ran out. I honestly didn't see a difference. I also liked the adult packet but I couldn't stomach it. It made me feel queasy. The woman who runs the company sent it for free when I emailed her with some questions. Maybe you could email and ask for a sample? If it was ever sold as a tablet I would consider buying it again.

Ok thank you for the replies. I think the owner created it for her ADHD daughter so that’s why it must have come up in my feed, not seen it in tiktok but I’ll have a look. I hadn’t realised about the Omega 3 and it is strange it’s not included as I’ve definitely seen it’s supposed to be beneficial. It is a huge amount of money for a supplement isn’t it, maybe I’ll give it a bit more thought.

I’ve never even heard of Lions Mane so I think I need to do a little more research.

@Sparklfairy I also noticed the "baby brain" comment and also "keeping ahead of the competition". Ugh.

@NotLovingWFH maybe look at scientific research into CDP-choline for ADHD traits at a therapeutic dose rate (I use this alongside l-tyrosine but everyone is different and I'm not suggesting I think it could ever substitute for prescription meds either). Ingredient lists for cognitive/focus blends all contain choline for good reason.
