I have retired to bed with a spenny drinking chocolate and a large shot of whiskey,😂 I am too tired to finish it, it was a great but tiring long weekend in Ireland with family, it took us 4 hours to travel 120 miles once we left Holyhead we had booked Club and ( is first on, first off ), so in essence we should have been well ahead of the pack.

I am at, the never again point, but I know this will pass. We live in the Home Counties, even including stops, we should have been home at 6.00, we arrived home at 9.30

Then rang DS who had flown from Dublin to LGW and discovered that if he didn’t make X train to Guildford he would have to go into London and out again. He didn’t choose to live on the edge of the sticks ,so resolved to collect him.

So arrived home poured the smallest wine ever, and nursed it until I collected him.

I planned on sleeeeeeeping this this morning, I was wide awake at 7.30, I ignored it and eventually checked the time thinking 11.30/12.00 would nice.

No dear reader I was awake at 9.05

For context we are newly retired and 11.30 would have been splendid.

Anyway, I was so mad, I unloaded the car sorted the laundry and lots of admin that could not be ignored.

I was like a dervish for about four and a half hours, all laundry is now sorted, and everything else. I am now on the exhausted spectrum of sleep.

Anyone else on their knees with exhaustion ????

Very soon heading into the arms of Morpheus, but just offering a thread for people to vent. 😁

I am very confused.

But yes, also tired. My biggest child has decided she likes late nights. My smallest child has decided he is maybe nocturnal. My dog has decided she likes early mornings.

All three have decided to tag team me over a 24h period. One will be awake at all times. Then, during the day, one follows ten steps behind me making mess everywhere I tidy. And I don’t mean dropping a few toys; I mean smearing yoghurt into the sofa, spilling water on the floor and then rolling in it, smashing glass … you get the picture!

I am very tired (and yet awake on MN). DS is snoring next to me and I can’t seem to help prolonging this but where I am on my own, and it is quiet, each night. But for that reason I am permanently shattered.
